4 PRESIDENTS OF THE BALKANS RECEIVES THE MARMARA FOUNDATION
Traian Basescu, President of Romania, one of the Presidents of Balkan Countries who arrived in Istanbul by the invitation of the President Abdullah Gül, accepted the delegation of Marmara Foundation comprised of Dr. Akkan Suver, Ret. General Necdet Timur, Ogan Soysal and Lale Aytanç Nalbant at his assigned residence in the Ciragan Palace. Romanian Ambassador to Ankara Ion Pasco accompanied the visit as well.
In the reception of the President of Albania, President Bamir Topi expressed that he still feels the excitement of his attendance to 13th Eurasian Economic Summit and he invited the Marmara Foundation to Albania. The Ambassador of Albania Altin Kodra has attended the visit as well.
Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov, in his reception of the Marmara Foundation emphasized that he follows the studies of the Marmara Foundation curiously. Georgi Parvanov also stated that he accepts the invitation of Dr. Akkan Suver for the 14th Eurasian Economic Summit. In his speech, Parvanov underlined the constructive contributions of the Marmara Foundation on common culture studies between Turkey and Bulgaria. In the reception, Charge d'affaires of Bulgaria in Ankara Emil Goranov accompanied the meeting.

The President of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic received the Marmara Foundation at first. The Ambassador of Montenegro to Ankara Ramo Bralic attended the meeting as well. Afterwards Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Foundation gave a dinner in honor of the President Filip Vujanovic at the Borsa Restaurant. In the dinner, President Vujanovic explained that he would attend the 14th Eurasian Economic Summit to be held next year.
The minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Milan Rocen, in his reception to Dr. Akkan Suver, indicated the significance of the studies of the Marmara Foundation at international fields.
