PERİHAN ÇAKIROĞLU (BUGÜN NEWSPAPER, 10th February 2014) The Minister of Finance Mehmet Çakıroğlu made a presentation concerning Turkey's economy at Eurasian Economic Summit a couple of days ago. Mehmet Şimşek stated "We will overcome this process by doing more reforms" by stressing the Turkish economy not in danger in his presentation which also includes the effects of December 17 Operations. In my opinion he should elaborate how these reforms will be realized. Şimşek also emphasized the imperilment of 4% economic growth which is targeted in 2014.

KEMAL SALLI (VATAN NEWSPAPER, 21st  April 2014) The Minister of Transportation, Naval and Telecommunication, Binali Yıldırım who spoke at the closing of Eurasian Economic Summit, said several projects realized in last 10 years and in the mean time there are many projects which have been carrying out. Moreover he stated that: "If you cannot bring people close together; then none of your services will accomplish". Binali Yıldırım also emphasized the role of rapidly increasing technologies, decreased costs of cyber attacks; and stated division of the management of internet to three regions by adding: "... and it is decided to Istanbul will be the third center of internet management. Africa, Europe, and Central Asia will be managed through İstanbul. In other words, Turkey is becoming the crossroad of telecommunication, as well".

NİLGÜN CERRAHOĞLU (CUMHURİYET NEWSPAPER, 14th April 2013) I attended to two meetings. First one was the panel of “Modernization and Woman” of 16th Eurasian Economic Summit organized by Marmara Group Strategic and Social Researches Foundation. I was moderator of the panel. We got together with leading woman NGOs in Turkey. At break of the meeting I asked following question: “AKP ruled out women organizations. Even in 1980s women organizations were active than today. In subjects of woman participation to politics, education, birth control etc. Many organizations are active than political parties and creates public opinion. Woman organizations helped changing of Civil Law. In recent years, there aren’t to be heard anything from woman organizations. What is happening? The real is dark like this? Or Am I think wrong?”

BURCU NOYAN (GÖZLEM NEWSPAPER, 13th April 2013) In 16th Eurasian Economic Summit organized by Marmara Group Strategic and Social Researches Foundation, it is arranged the Sessions of Economy, Energy, Health, Education, Cultur, Ecology, Dialogue, Modernization, Woman, Information Technologies, Defend Industry and Security. In the Summit, from over 50 countries and approximately 500 representatives discussed economic developments and affairs in Caucasus, Central Asia, Middle East and Balkans from different perspectives. In the Summit titled “ Unipolar or Multipolar World”, the future of Information Technologies was discussed. Director of Authority of Information and Communication Technology Tayfun Acarer said: “Authorities of local governments should be limited in order to develop mobile infrastructure”.

LEYLA TAVŞANOĞLU (CUMHURİYET NEWSPAPER, 9th April 2013) Akkan Suver is one of us and an old journalist. For 16 years, he brings together and hosts Presidents, Prime Ministers, Princes and Princesses in Eurasian Economic Summits in İstanbul. ESMA ÇAKIR (HÜRRİYET NEWSPAPER, 25th December 2010) Marmara Group Foundation,  a think-tank organisation whose center is in Istanbul, attended to ceremony of Pope XVI. Benedictus in Vatican with delegation for four person. Pope XVI. Benedictus celebrated the new year of Turkish nation and sent greetings to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Dr Akkan Suver, also visited the Pope five years ago, said: “Pope XVI. Benedictus congratulated Marmara Group Foundation due to its endeavors of ‘Intercultural Dialogue’ in the way of service to  greatness of religions and values of Human Rights and Rule of Law”.

UMUT TÜTÜNCÜ (HABERTÜRK NEWSPAPER, 20th July 2010) Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hosted and organized a meeting for “Women” in Prime Minister’s Office in Dolmabahçe. Prime Minister Erdoğan gave a speech about “Democratic Initiative”, listened to problems and replied questions of participants. The meeting continued 4 hours and an “Equality” discussion happened. In the name of Marmara Group Foundation Müjgan Suver said: “ I and all of us would like to make good things for our country’s benefit. However, Are our aims same? We say “Equality of Women and Men” and defend this. However, we couldn’t hear this idiom from you. You  use title of “Equility of Opportunity of Women” constantly”.

TUFAN TÜRENÇ (HÜRRİYET NEWSPAPER, 5th June 2010) Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation gathered in Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia, on 2-3th of June. At the meeting, President of Turkish Delegation, Parliamentary and Deputy Speaker of Grand National Assembly of Turkey Nevzat Pakdil criticized the unlawful attack of Israel to civil ship on Eastern Mediterranean. Then President of Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver said: “As a civil initiative, Marmara Group Foundation,  I would like to express to representatives of International Organizations and parliamentaries that I condemn the unlawful attack of Israel” “I claim that your high delegation will take a decision of condemn for this inhuman attack”. The suggestion of Dr. Akkan Suver were certified. Members of Parliaments of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Greece, Russia accepted the condemnation. Albania, Georgia, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Ukrain, Serbia and Armenia objected the condemnation. The Conclusion: The suggestion of condemnation of Dr. Akkan Suver were objected.

SAMİ KOHEN (MİLLİYET NEWSPAPER, 8th May, 2010) From Balkans to Midle East and Central Asia, high representatives of 44 countries including 3 Presidents, 8 Former Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ministers, Parliamentaries and about 100 high representatives from different countries attended to Eurasian Economic Summit organized in Istanbul with high participation this week. The main characteristic of this three days Summit is that; it is a civil initiative. Furthermore, one of the characteristics of 13th Eurasian Economic Summit organized by Marmara Group Foundation is that; from  Armenia to Cyprus, Israel and Iraq “the problems” were discussed. In this respect, the Summit indicates international convergence of not only States but also NGO’s. In Conference; the subjects of effects of economic crisis over countries of Eurasian region, Nabucco and energy transportation projects, strategies of global peace and dialogue were discussed. These speeches indicates that Eurasia is getting important increasingly with its economic and political potential. President of Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver said in the opening speech that “Eurasia is not only a geography, a history but also a system of values, a new partnership and solidarity”.

TUFAN TÜRENÇ (HÜRRİYET NEWSPAPER, 29th November 2006) Cardinal Celata introduced Akkan Suver and his associates to the Pope. Akkan Suver said: "The Republic of Turkey and her nation awaits your honouring. Yet; as Turkey is a democratic state some groups may react your arrival" to the Pope. Then, Pope said; "I would like to learn something from you. What is the thing that Turkish people like in common?" to Mr. Suver. In reply, Akkan Suver stated without hesitation that: "You can visit the Tomb of Atatürk in Ankara. Turkish nation will be pleased to hear that". (I do not know whether this recommendation is effective or not; but Pope visited the Tomb of Atatürk.) At the end of the meeting, Pope send this meaningful message to Turkish Nation via Akkan Suver: "Please send my greetings to the Turkey of Atatürk". The visit of Pope to Tomb of Atatürk have watched by the millions from the world. Moreover, press from whole over the world will publish this visit for four days.

TUFAN TÜRENÇ (HÜRRİYET NEWSPAPER, 3rd September 2005) Denktaş officially hosted by the President of Azerbaijan, İlham Aliyev, at the family luncheon that is organized for the honor of Him. Rauf Denktaş became emotional because of exceptional interest and sympathy that is shown. Marmara Group Foundation participated to the last luncheon at Baku along with businessman, as well. It was a beautiful night. Famous Azerbaijani soprano Azerin performed for the honor of Denktaş.  Denktaş has been awarded several Medal of Honor. In his speech Denktaş emphasized that the necessity for acting in solidarity in order to overcome the obstacles.  Afterwards, Dr. Akkan Suver who is the President of Marmara Group Foundation has been called to make his speech. He made short; yet interesting speech. He stated: "When I have visited President Haydar Aliyev, may he rest in peace, he said 'We are one nation with two states'. I would like to add one more thing to this statement after on the occasion of your remarkable initiative: 'We became one nation with three states'. I would like to stress this again in the presence of His Excellency Rauf Denktaş". Denktaş excitedly and intimately hugged Akkan Suver after these words. When Suver came back to his table, his associates joked by saying: "You should obtain patent for these words". In reply, Suver said; "I can't help myself to obtain patent. This can be done only by our dear journalist friend, Turan Türenç". And I have promised him to write this matter.  Now I am keeping my word. "One nation with two states" motto belongs to Haydar Aliyev. However, "one nation with three states" belongs to the President of Marmara Group Foundation, Dr. Akkan Suver.

SAMİ KOHEN (MİLLİYET NEWSPAPER, 6th July 2005) Speakers at 8th Eurasian Economic Summit propound that integration of Turkey with EU should be the base policy, "multilateral policies" should be preferred rather than "alternative policies" as well as the importance of Eurasia strategies of Turkey.
